Why registration of your ship?

A Yacht is an expensive possession. Possessions like houses, cars, home trades or ocean-going trades and speedboats have a legally bound registration. This is possible by ‘’het kadaster’’ or ‘’de Rijksdienst Wegverkeer, de RDW’’. By this registration is it possible for owners of a house, car or speedboat or as an employer to legally prove that it is their possession.

With other ships, including yachts made for 1996, there is no obligation to register. For this reason there is no legal proof of ownership. Did you know that a non-registered ship, which is stolen, and sold to a tirth party, is no longer your possession but the possession of that tirth party. Although there is no legally bound registration it is sensible to register your Vessel.

"Het Kadaster"

"Het kadaster" registers all ships from the year 1838. In early days this was meant for home trades or ocean-going trades. Now a days it is normal to register also yachts and houseboats. For legal security and a morgage on the boat. Every registered boat gets an unique number. This number we called a ‘’brandmerk’’ and will be placed on your boat. It will not been burned in your ship anymore like in the old days but you will get a plastic plate that will leave a clear mark your ship when it is ripped of by steeling.

"Rijksdienst Wegverkeer, de RDW"

Meant for speedboats. You can sale on nearly every open water in the Netherlands with a speedboat, if this boat is registered at ‘’de RDW’’. A speedboat is a small with a length less than 20 meters and faster than 20 km per hour.

"International yacht register"

Meant for every, big or small yacht. It is the new and progressive way to protect your expensive possession worldwide.

"Basic registration"

• The registration in the International yacht register is possible for every ship. The basic registration is coupled with a boat focus basic set. With the proof of registration; ‘’ Bewijs van inschrijving’’ you also receive an antitheft tags. The tags is simple to install on your ship, by yourself or our installer. In the register you not only register your ship but also the expensive parts of the ship. It is possible to extend the basic set with a tracking and a tracing system. The system allows the products to work around the globe, and reduce the chance of a stolen boat.
